Cavitation

How does Ultrasound Liposuction work?

Ultrasound waves are produced by a sonic generator and are transmitted to the tip of a probe.  Under the power of Ultrasonic Waves the instrument directly accesses the deep seated fat body which on contact will cause the fat cells to implode inwards.  This process of creating a hollow pocket in the fat layer beneath the skin is called cavitation.

The fat is emulsified and released through the hepatic (liver) and lymphatic systems and this process ultimately achieves the effect of dissolving and removing fat.  At the same time the Ultrasonic Waves generates friction heat increasing the local temperature and will therefor remove excess fat and toxins from the body through the sweat glands.

The removal of liquefied fat is aided by low pressure suction which is less traumatic than traditional liposuction.  During this process the skin is tightened and rejuvenated.

At the same time Ultrasonic waves through polarizing molecule resonance heats the collagen tissue of the dermis layer.  This naturally results in almost instant “shrinking” that will stimulate cells to excrete new collagen to make up for the inter space caused by the shrinking or loss of collagen protein.  This causes the skin to tighten, which in turn removes wrinkles and recovers skin elasticity.

Treatment Sessions

With Ultrasonic liposuction you may continue to lose fatty tissue for up to six months after your treatments and you could expect to lose approximately 1 to 5cm in circumference after your first session.  The number of treatments cannot be pre-determined and is dependent on the result you are looking to achieve.  During each session there should be a measurable loss and you can decide when desired result has been achieved.

Each individual is different; however in general at least 3 sessions per area are needed for cellulite removal.  For weight loss more procedures will be required.

The below sessions can be focussed on one area.

•  Session 1-7            = 1 session per day for up to seven days consecutively.
•  Session 8-15         = 1 session every 3 days.
•  Session 16 – 20    = 1 session per week.

It is recommended for clients with a lower body fat percentage to rather spread treatments to once a week

Prior to Treatment

For optimum results we suggest the following prior to treatment:

•  Avoid foods high in protein, fattiness and energy.  Only consume foods which are light, non-fat and not spicy.
•  Stop slimming medication for at least a month or two prior to treatment.  Should you choose not to do so then a  prolonged period of treatment may be required.
•  It is not advisable to undergo treatments less than an hour after eating.
•  Drink 8 glasses of water a day
•  We recommend a Lymph Draining massage after treatment to assist with the draining process.
